Utilize your credit card’s rewards/ points program.
Let me tell you something: I LOVE MY CREDIT CARDS.
And the reason that I can say this with so much passion is that I make the cards work for ME, not the other way around. I basically make all of my purchases via credit card, and pay them off timely. My credit card gives me double points (it’s a travel-based card), and their program is great. I’m able to use the points to cover past purchases, purchase anything travel related, and (my personal favorite) purchase GIFT CARDS!! And I’m not just talking abut to regular places like Wal-Mart and The Home Depot (I get those, too), but SAKS, NEIMAN’s, and MORE.
I probably redeem my points the most for Gap brand gift cards, because: Shiloh. I’ll typically use 5000 points to get a $50 gift card. Every time I use up one, I redeem points to get another.
It’s SUPER important to keep these gift cards on hand because you NEED to always do...

Make consistent purchases.
This is important.
Every time you go into Old Navy, you’re going to need to make a purchase of at least $25. During certain time periods (I’m not sure when, but it honestly feels like EVERY time I’m in there), they will give you these “Super Cash” vouchers. During the time indicated on the voucher, you will receive $10 off every $25 increments you spend. The amount will be indicated on the voucher.
THIS is how you’re able to get $25 worth of stuff for only $15, or $100 worth of stuff for only $60. IT’S AMAZING! I always have fun during Super Cash time because I...

ONLY shop in the sale/ clearance sections of the store.
If you’re looking to maximize your dollar, HEAD TO THE BACK!!!
I only shop in the clearance section of the store for Shiloh’s clothing, and I do it with great strategy. In most cases, the clearance section is filled with clothing that is either headed out of season, or of a past holiday. And guess what?? I BUY IT! At some point, Shiloh will be celebrating St. Paddy’s day or Earth Day at school, and with me by her side, she’s guaranteed to always be on trend. The key to shopping clearance currently is to shop with INTENTION. I always buy Shiloh’s winter clothes in the summer, and her summer clothes in the winter and I purchase them a larger size for the future.
Whenever Shiloh’s size is changing, we NEVER run to the store, we simply go shopping in her closet. I promise y’all: Shiloh’s wardrobe for the entire next school year is SET!
Here are a few of the items we picked up during one of our last shopping trips. You can see the price that it was originally listed for, and the price that I paid.
Phew! I am the MVP!!!
How do you bargain shop? Are you new to the bargain shopping game? What’s been your best buy, ever?? I’d love to know!
