What’s a Hot Mess Mama to Do?!
Now, don’t get me wrong. I love my daughter. I even adore her. But I will be honest. I’m a last minute type of chick.
Here I was, feeling SUPER prepped for my daughter’s upcoming 3rd birthday party at the local indoor playground, when something in my spirit whispered “ooh wait, let’s do t-shirts too, girl” [🤣].
Now usually, it’s my mom that RELISHES in going above the status quo for any gathering, so I was quite surprised to see that I, too had caught the “Extravaganza of EXTRA” bug. 🥴
Just DAYS away from my baby girl’s third birthday, and I had created a challenge for myself: I wanted custom made t-shirts for her birthday. And not just one. A FEW. 🥴

Frantically that evening, I scrolled through my mental Rolodex [showing my age here], brainstorming of anyone that may “know somebody that knows somebody” that could pull off a huge favor! I spent about 10 minutes thinking, then I heard “Mommy, did you hear meeee???”. It was my daughter, Shiloh, reminding me that I was still on mommy duty and she needed her quality time. I snapped back into mommy mode and made her plate for dinner.
As I sat down, watching her eat, that Smart Girl lightbulb came on that I love SO much. I remembered that a buddy of mine from high school now has a business where she makes custom gifts and shirts.
I reached out to Nicole, and just as I prayed, she was right on time! We discussed what I needed, the design I wanted, and when I’d need them.
Working with Nicole was a dream. My shirt order had grown to almost DOUBLE in a matter of days, and she never once batted a single eyelash. NOW, THATS MY KINDA GIRL!!
She kept me in the loop with photo updates, and even asked for my creative direction.
I was able to pick up the shirts with over 24 hours to spare before Shiloh’s birthday party.
